About Som
Som’s Martial Arts journey started in Taekwondo at 13 years old, training for seven years. She’s then moved to Australia to study. Her Muay Thai’s jouney’s started in 2014 when she walked into a Muay Thai gym near her place, tried a class and instantly fell in love with the sport from day one.
Som’s career started out in event management before becoming a fitness instructor in 2016. Since then she’s worked in various female-only gyms and an exercise physiologist clinic, giving her the opportunity to work with a wide-range of clients and needs including rehabilitation, athletic performance and weight loss. She holds a Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and has completed courses in Mat Pilates and pre & post natal health.
"Muay Thai challenges me to be a better person. The hours, the bumps, the bruises, and the sacrifices. They’ve all taught me that there’s more inside me than I ever knew. If I believe in myself, train hard, and want it badly enough, I can grow through anything. Fighting forced me to face my greatest fears and find strength in doing so."
Now, she’s passionate about helping others, especially women become physically and mentally stronger, discover their power, and grow into the best version of themselves.
